TRON's native token, TRX, subdivides into SUN: 1,000,000 of them per TRX, with one SUN standing for 0.000001 TRX. That is as small as TRON money gets — the SUN is the ledger's smallest unit, and beneath the amounts a wallet displays, every balance and transfer is a tally of whole SUN.
Where SUN matters most is TRON's resource system. Sending a transaction or running a smart contract consumes bandwidth and energy, and when an account lacks free resources the network burns TRX to cover the cost. Those burns are denominated at SUN precision, so fees often come out as fractional TRX amounts that read most cleanly in SUN.
